Kendell Burton

There’s a lot of hot design talent in NYC, and Kendell Burton is a name you’ll definitely see in the future. Aside from his work with social media superstar Gary Vaynerchuk, Kendell is also busy with his own projects, not to mention his previous magazine work. Find out more about Kendell and his work in this week’s interview!

Michael RoachMichael Roach is very future-forward when it comes to his work. As we talked, I kept thinking “hey, so-and-so is doing that now…except Michael was doing it years ago”! Aside from being a graphic designer and web designer, Michael is also a jazz pianist, and we talked a bit on how music influences his design work and on the vibrant design scene in upstate New York.

Alrick Collins, Jr.

While doing research on designers and developers in the Big Apple, Alrick Collins, Jr. (or Ricky, as he prefers to be called) was one of the first I ran across who was happy to talk to us. There’s usually an ongoing debate in the design community about whether designers should or shouldn’t learn to code, and Alrick…well, you’ll need to read the interview to see where he falls on that spectrum.

Whether you agree with his position or not, his design journey to starting his own design business is very admirable. Learn more about Alrick in this week’s interview!

Renee Mckellar

I have to give it to Renee Mckellar — out of all the students that visit Revision Path, she was the first one to reach out to us for an interview. It’s always good to hear from designers who are just starting out because they have a fresh perspective to offer. Renee talked to us about how she got started, how she keeps motivated, and where she wants to be in the near future.
