Teach courses in design thinking, creative process, physical computing, digital fabrication, professional practices and industrial design methods in the Department of Art & Design’s Visual Communications BFA, such as Interaction Design, Core 3-D Modeling, and Topics in Art, Design & Technology. Pursue creative and scholarly research in interactive design, and advise students to design and develop applied and personal research projects within the program philosophy. Contribute service to the program, department, and University.
Applicants must have an MFA, PhD, or equivalent terminal degree in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Architecture, or a closely-related design discipline; at least one academic year (9 months) of experience teaching design theory and practice, including hands-on methods of design and the relationship between technology and humanity; as well as a record of creative research in interdisciplinary interaction design topics.
